The vital work of the Nantucket AIDS Network is made possible because of people, such as you, willing to lend a helping hand. Everyone has something special to offer and knowing that you are making a difference in the lives of others is a rich reward. In addition, you have the opportunity to:
- develop marketable skills for future career opportunities
- undertake unique training/learning opportunities
- apply for community service hours
You may choose to volunteer once a year, once a month or once a week, the options are endless.
Volunteer positions are open to all individuals ages thirteen and up, without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability. There are many ways to get involved, please review our volunteer opportunities.
Volunteer Opportunities
Office Administration Volunteers:
Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Help with mailings
- Refill and distribute outreach & awareness materials
- Collect canister donations
- Provide general office assistance
- Work on various fundraising projects
Events Coordination:
Hours and days vary
- Assist with day of duties such as registration and check-in
- Assist with marketing and advertising
- Assist in sponsorship and in-kind donor solicitations
Media Assistance:
- Photograph or video events for promotional and in-house training
- Graphic design of published materials
- Help write and work on semi-annual newsletters
Youth Programs Peers Promoting Action & Awareness (PPAA):
- Assist with special programs such as senior projects
- Chaperone events such as annual dances, movie nights and fundraisers
