Review of HIV Medications

Introduction
Please take advantage of the 6th Annual Treatment Guide for positive living with AIDS. Below is a list of current information provided by HIVMagazine.com.
Review of HIV Medications
In the following list, we have evaluated every medication approved by the FDA for the treatment of HIV. These ratings are unscientific and subjective. They’re based on the general feeling of people in the HIV community toward the pills they have to take. In each category, we’ve listed the preferred drugs first, and the less attractive alternatives later.

We strongly recommend that you discuss your medicines, and every other aspect of your treatment program, with a doctor who has extensive experience treating HIV and AIDS! However, if you’d like a general idea of how many pills you’re going to have to take, how they’re likely to affect your lifestyle, and what people who are already taking them think—this review is for you.

Please note: although the medications in this review are listed individually, none of them is meant to be taken alone! Effective therapy for HIV requires a medical “regimen” consisting of at least three drugs.
