Education and Outreach Services
NAN provides comprehensive individual and community education for those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and hepatitis.
Visit our office for:
- A free, safe and confidential setting to address questions and concerns pertaining to HIV/AIDS and hepatitis
- Free Male and Female Condoms
- Free resources to educate yourself about HIV/AIDS, hepatitis and other sexually transmitted infections
Programs sponsored by NAN:
- Peers Promoting Action & Awareness (PPAA) Program:
a peer leadership program of high school students committed to educating and training their peers about HIV/AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s), prevention and healthy decision making. Learn more about PPAA.
- Educational workshops and trainings for community members and providers including Opiod Overdose Prevention and HIV and Hepatitis Risk Reduction.
- An active participant in groups such as the Healthy Communities Collaborative, the Island Youth Network (IYN), the Community Foundation Human Service Study and the Nantucket Development Group.
- Community programs and events including: World AIDS Day, National HIV Testing & Counseling Awareness Day, Nantucket Cottage Hospital Health Fair, educational forums, and more.
